چکیده
Abstract This study examined the gastrointestinal parasitological status of three endangered Sub-Saharan antelope species ( Addax nasomaculatus , Oryx dammah Gazella dorcas ) hosted at Souss-Massa National Park in Morocco. A total 254 faecal samples (80 from addax population, 81 oryx population and 93 population) were analysed to determine prevalence intensity parasites host faeces (expressed as mean EPG: egg per gram ), using microscopic methods (Flotation McMaster) molecular identification PCR sequencing second internal transcribed spacer region rDNA (ITS-2). The results addax, gazelle 43.7%, 2.4%, 61.3%, respectively, for Nematodirus spp.; 21.2%, 12.3%, 16.13%, Trichuris 36.2%, 39.5%, 53.7%, other, undistinguished strongylids. means EPG values 8.9, 2.4, 61.3, 4.3, 4.8, 18.1, 16.6, 50.1, other Sequencing ITS-2 isolated allowed Camelostrongylus mentulatus spathiger these species. We can conclude that studied antelopes are infected tolerating levels with first record those

Pathophysiology of Gastrointestinal Nematode Infections in the Ruminant
Recent advances in the understanding of the physiological and biochemical . consequences-of gastrointestinal nematode infections in ruminants are examined, particularly in relation to the nitrogen economy of the host and effects on animal productivity. Evidence is presented which suggests that, although there may be an apparent reduction in the net availability of nitrogen from the gut of infec...

Out of 92 donkeys examined for gastrointestinal parasites, 90 animals were found infected by one or more gastrointestinal parasites with an overall prevalence rate of 97.78%. The distributions of the recovered parasites in the different parts of the body were as follows: stomach, 92.4%, small intestine, 19.6%, caecum, 88%, colon, 80.4%, rectum, 73.9%, and cranial mesenteric artery, 64.1%. متن کاملA review of the epidemiology and control of gastrointestinal nematode infections in cattle in Zimbabwe.
In this review, the main gastrointestinal nematodes infecting cattle in Zimbabwe and the epidemiological factors influencing their occurrence are reviewed and discussed. Nineteen gastrointestinal nematode species that belong to seven families have been found to occur in cattle in Zimbabwe. The main genera reported to date are Cooperia, Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus and Oesophagostomum and the do...
متن کاملSurvey of gastrointestinal parasitic infections in quarantined dogs in Taiwan.
Intestinal helminth and protozoan infection in the quarantined dogs in Taiwan were examined using fecal examination between January to December, 2004. Of the 376 dogs imported from 11 countries, 63 (16.8%) were found to be infected with at least one species of intestinal parasite. The parasites detected were oocysts of Isospora canis and eggs of Toxocara canis, Trichuris vulpis and hookworms. O...
